‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah expressing his love and his sadness that Surur was given a hard time. He is hopeful that they soon find a good house, and if he could not find a place in a few days, he would ask Nayyir al-Muluk so they could stay in their quarters for a while. He once again says how sorry he is that he has not been able to find a house yet.

Correspondence of Surur al-Saltanah and ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash): on the first page, Surur al-Saltanah writes to Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk complaining about not getting a letter from him and explains her good intentions regarding her previous remarks. On the second page, Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk expresses his happiness on receiving a letter from her, mentions that he had been miserable when Surur had stopped writing to him, and he is so happy now that he is writing this letter while in bed with a fever and will send it with one of the orderlies in the morning.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah and tells her that he is sending her a shawl, a turquoise ring, a pair of diamond earrings, and a turbah that he has blessed in Khurasan; he had purchased them all in Mashhad.
